This course is designed for both Yoga beginners and for those who wish to continue practising Yoga as they learn and improve their Spanish.
Yoga is aimed to unite the mind, the body, and the spirit. Yogis believe that the mind and body are one and taken to the right environment, it can find harmony and heal itself. Yoga therefore is considered therapeutic. It helps you become more aware of your body’s posture, alignment and patterns of movement. It makes the body more flexible and helps you relax. This is one of the foremost reasons why people want to start practicing Yoga – to feel fitter, be more energetic, be happier and peaceful.
We recommend combining our General Intensive 20 course with 3 Yoga sessions per week. Spanish lessons during the morning consisting of grammar, conversation, reading and writing are followed by Yoga in the late afternoon. The local Yoga group welcomes La Janda students ensuring a supportive and truly relaxing environment.
Students participating in our combined programmes can also participate in the school’s daily cultural programme.
Our cultural programme is designed to make the most of this stunning location with trips to nearby Andalucian cities and beaches such as Cádiz, Tarifa, Sevilla and Jerez. Discover traditional Spanish cooking, be inspired by flamenco, tour the bodegas, explore the natural surroundings by bicycle, horse-back or by foot and experience for yourself why everyone’s favourite is when the Spanish teachers take them out on the ruta de tapas!
Classes are held from Monday to Friday every week. Accommodation is available from Sunday 12pm, the day before the course starts until Saturday 12pm, the day after the course ends.
