It was like love at first sight. I was welcomed by a family and within a split second I was part of that family. I stayed in Vejer for eight weeks and I learned an incredible amount of Spanish and culture. It was an experience I will never forget. I’m sure I will come back to Vejer.
I travelled a lot in my life , In Vejer and the Costa de la Luz I found everything together warm people , creativity, good talks, some landscape, city’s, villages, beaches and I love the spanish rythm of life with “siestas and fiestas” and a lot of music and art to enjoy.
La Janda allowed me to learn Spanish in an international environment by providing a well-organized combination of qualitative Spanish classes, exciting group activities and, above all, a 100% dedicated and easygoing staff - altogether bringing about a life experience that I'll always carry with me. The unique little city of Vejer not only enabled vast opportunities for practicing Spanish thanks to its friendly residents and inclusive atmosphere, but also offered a great location for various activities in the Andalusían surroundings - my personal favorites being the possibility of trekking in national parks and enjoying beach life on the beautiful coast.
From the moment I walked in the door of La Janda I felt like I was part of the Galindo family. The combination of grammar with real life situations and cultural activities meant that I also became part of the Vejer community and because of this I've learnt more Spanish in 3 months than I have in the past 15 years. I'll never confuse Pollo for Polla ever again!
Jag kom till La Janda första gången sommaren 2011. Jag var bara där 2 veckor men lärde känna många människor och kände mig verkligen hemma. Efter det har jag åkt tillbaka 2 gånger och planerar att åka tillbaka igen. Stämningen på skolan är väldigt familjär och man skrattar mycket tillsammans. Undervisningen i klassrummet varvas med praktiserande ute på gatan på någon restaurang eller bar eller på stranden. Det finns så mycket att se och göra i området och skolan ordnar utflykter, surfklasser, bergscykling m.m. så det är ingen risk att man får tråkigt.
I was extremely fortunate and happy to have come across La Janda. The environment created by Eli and the Galindo family is one of deep cultural immersion in which learning the language comes naturally as past of a wider experience of the ways and rhythms of life in Andalucia. The cultural events are fantastic, the location idyllic and the learning support extensive.
Nachdem ich mich fuer die Sprachschule La Janda in Vejer entschieden hatte, war ich sehr aufgeregt. Was wuerde mich dort erwarten? Natuerlich hatte ich gehofft schnell Anschluss zu finden und auch die Sprache aufzugreifen.Nun kam ich vor knapp 10 Wochen in Vejer an und es hat meine Erwartungen bei Weitem uebertroffen! Ich wurde direkt in die “Familie” aufgenommen, wie selbstverstaendlich. Auch mit dem Spanisch lief es von Tag zu Tag besser. Jetzt nach den 10 Wochen bin ich sehr froh mich fuer die Sprachschule La Janda in Vejer entschieden zu haben, ich wuerde es sofort wieder machen.
Learning Spanish at La Janda is the best experience I've ever had in a class room! I really enjoyed the structure of the classes during the morning with a relaxed and non stop talking session over breakfast with the teaches included and then different activities every day which all added to a truly immersive spanish learning experience. You really do feel part of the family at La Janda and get great inside secrets and real life Spanish language situations and not just text book.
Hallo! Ik ben Sabine, 32 jaar en ik kom uit Nederland.
Twee jaar geleden ben ik voor de eerste keer naar Vejer de la Frontera gegaan. Wat een ervaring! Ik was daar voor 3 weken in een gastgezin, waarmee ik nog steeds goed bevriend ben. Wat een vriendelijke familie, wat een heerlijk eten en zij waren altijd daar wanneer ik hun hulp nodig had. Samen met mijn nieuwe spaanse familie heb ik veel plekken bezocht, zij hebben mij veel geleerd en natuurlijk ben ik erg blij met deze nieuwe familie in mijn leven.
Vejerで過ごした時間は私の大切な宝です。あの素晴らしい体験を糧に日本でスペイン語の勉強を続けています。
やっぱり文法は難しいけれど、がんばって勉強して必ずVejerへ再訪します。
たくさんの大好きな友達たちにあのとき言葉で伝えられなかった様々な思いを伝える為に。
